“Ogura hyakunin isshu”のカテゴリーでは、一つ一つ和歌を紹介していきます。
This waka is composed by Semimaru (蝉丸).
Semimaru is a famous waka composer in early Heian period.
He is also called Semimaro.
This waka is read like “Koreyakono ikumokaerumo wakareteha shirumoshiranumo ousakanoseki”.
Koreyakono means like “This is the very ~…”.
ikumokaerumo means like “to go and to go back”. iku is “to go”. mo is “and” . kaeru is “to go back”.
wakareteha means “to take leave from someone for good”.
shirumoshiranumo is similar to ikumokaerumo. This part is consist of “shiru”, “mo” and “shiranu”. shiru is “to know”. shiranu is “not to know”.
ousakanoseki is a name of place. We also take ou as a change form of “au(会う)”(to meet).
In conclusion this waka means like “This is the very Ousakanoseki. I see people are going and coming. People pass each other no matter who know or not know”
