This waka is composed by 喜撰法師(Kisen houshi).
He is one of the Rokkasen (六歌仙) I mentioned before. It means he is good at composing waka.
He is a mysterious man because we don’t know about him well.
It is read like “Wagaiwoha miyakono tatsumi shikazosumu yowoudiyamato hitohaiunari”.
Wagaioha miyakono tatsumi means like “My house is in south east from the Miyako(Kyoto prefecture)”.
shikazosumu means like “I live there this way”.
yowoudiyamato hitohaiunari means like “People say my house is in Udi(宇治) and they say I live alone because I hate people”.
In conclusion this waka means like “My house is in south east from the Miyako and it is good but people say it sounds not so good because they say I hate people and live in Udi”.
