Main contents

こんにちは。日本語以外で何か書くのは難しいと感じているらいむーんです。今日からまた日本語を学んでいきましょう。

Hello. I’m Limun who feel difficulties to write articles in foreign languages. Let’s learn Japanese.

Main sentences

Mauz: またカレーを食べてるんですか?

Limun: はい。カレーは美味しいし、手軽に作れるからね

Mauz: ちゃんと野菜も食べないとダメだよ!

Limun: 野菜も食べます。頑張ります。

Explanation

Today I will explain about the first sentence.

It is constructed 3 parts.

This sentence is constructed by many parts. But I see it as three parts so that I can explain easier. Like this.

また

カレーを食べてるんです

か?

また

またmeans “again”shortly.

It is used a lot in daily conversation. This is so useful word so you should remember it. For example it is used like following sentences.

また明日!

See you tomorrow!

また逮捕されたの?

Were you arrested again?

またのご来店お待ちしております

Please come again(at a restaurant or shop)

カレーを食べてるんです

Next.

カレーを食べてるんですpart.

You know an important rule. You don’t have to say subject. It is a sentence from Limun to Tofaha so if Limun says the subject it will be like またあなたはカレーを食べてるんですか?.

カレーis curry. But most times Japanese say “curry”it is “curry and rice”.

食べるis “to eat”. But it transformed into 食べてる

It is not official Japanese but a kind of casual way to say 食べている. You know this mean because we learn it before. It is “be eating”.

か?

~か?is a way to ask someone something.

Conclusion

So the first sentence

またカレーを食べてるんですか?

It means

Are you eating curry and rice again?
